Two Killed At Vegas Tourist Spots
Robbery Ends In Casino Shootout
LAS VEGAS -- Two separate incidents last week at high-profile Vegas tourist spots left two people dead and another person wounded.
The first incident took place at Boulder Station, a hotel-casino on the east side of town that mostly draws a local crowd. Michael Williams, a 30-year-old Las Vegas resident was shot and killed after police say he robbed one of the casino's change booths and tried to flee.
Williams apparently brandished a weapon at the change booth and then ran out of the casino with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say he then ran back into the casino and began firing his weapon randomly. Security guards tried to apprehend Williams, but after a Boulder Station employee was shot and wounded, guards opened fire on Williams, killing him.
According to reports, most of the gamblers in the casino barely noticed the commotion and the slots and video poker machines kept blazing throughout the incident.
The second shooting took place on the Strip at the Harley-Davidson Cafe.
Authorities have arrested Bradley Repolio, a former employee of the restaurant who allegedly killed his former supervisor before the restaurant opened for business on Tuesday. Police were not speculating on a motive for the slaying but indicated that Repolio had been fired just days before the incident.
No one else was hurt.
