Children Find Human Bones In Woods
Remains Were There At Least A Year
VAHALLA, Ky. -- Investigators in Jefferson County are trying to find the source of human bones discovered last weekend.
The bones were found in some woods near Valhalla by children who were playing, WLKY NewsChannel32 reported.
The bones have been there for at least a year, but investigators have not figured out the age, race, or gender, WLKY reported.
The exact spot in which the bones were found has not been determined because the police investigation is ongoing, according to Officer Stacey Redmon of the Jefferson County Police.
"A recovery team was sent out to the scene and the bones have been brought to the medical examiner's officer who is conducting the investigation," Redmon said.
