NewsChannel 32's Abby Miller reported that Indiana State Police Detective Sean Clemons was also a friend of Camm from his days as a state trooper.

Camm is on trial for allegedly murdering his wife and their two young children in September 2000 in their Georgetown, Ind., home

Clemons testified that the murder scene had been cleaned or altered and pointed to stains on the back deck, Miller reported.

Prosecutors asked Clemons if he asked Camm about the stains and Clemons said "no," because he thought Camm would "lie," Miller reported.

Defense lawyer Mike McDaniel said that the stains were months old, and asked the judge for a mistrial, because the jury was "grossly misled about Camm's right to remain silent at the time." "He (Clemons) probably more than anyone else caused David to get arrested and pointed this investigation in the wrong direction," McDaniel said.

Miller reported that the judge denied the mistrial request.

Camm Sketch 4 Statement that Camm allegedly made at Floyd Memorial Hospital the day after the murders were also brought out in court.

Clemons testified that when Camm was asked to submit to a suspect kit, Camm allegedly replied, "If you kill your wife and kids, this is what you have to do."

McDaniel said that the statement was taken out of context, and following that statement Camm said, "My wife is looking down from heaven right now and she's ashamed of you."

Miller reported that a videotape with the statement Camm made to investigators at the murder scene will be played in court Wednesday.
