'Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban' (PG)
"Bloody brilliant!" was the reaction of many of the people who saw the advanced screening of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." The theater was completely packed even an hour before the movie started, with families, children, teenagers, adults without children, and even a few older people.

Just sitting there before the movie started, I could tell that it was a very enthusiastic crowd and it definitely was! Even afterward, I don't think I heard a single bad comment about the movie.

This is the third Harry Potter film released and it is personally my favorite. In this film, Harry finds out that a murderer has escaped from the most heavily guarded prison in the wizarding world, Azkaban Prison, and he is out to kill Harry. His name is Sirius Black.

This movie is filled with unexpected twists and turns and it keeps you guessing until the very end.

It was easy to tell that a new director was hired for this movie. It had a very different, but enjoyable, feel to it. For example, the special effects were much better, and there was a lot more humor in this one compared to the previous two, but the mystery and darkness were still present, and the director managed to shorten this film. Because it was shortened, many details from the book were cut out, which was a bit of a disappointment, but you can't expect everything to be in the film that was in the book.

The actors did a great job, and you can tell that they have grown a lot as actors. They are also much older than they were in the last two movies, but it does not bother you at all because you are still so enchanted with their performances.

I have read every Harry Potter book at least twice so I am, naturally, very critical of the movies, but even so, I enjoyed them. Seeing what you imagine come to life is one of the main reasons I see the movies. Seeing dementors everywhere, Hagrid teaching at the school, the excitement of Sirius Black on the loose, and my favorite -- Hermione punching an adversary -- was spectacular.

I definitely recommend "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" to everyone. It is a great movie for adults and children alike.
